Santa gave me a Roland JU-06 for Christmas, a boutique synth that replicates the sounds of some vintage Roland synths of the early eighties. I asked for it specifically to have a go at covering Macca's Coming Up after hearing Ginger Root's amazing version. I love McCartney II and hope to be able to have a go at covering the whole album one day. It was the album that first introduced me to the idea that one person could play all the instruments. However, this will involve a large investment in more synths, so it's only a (bag)pipe dream at the moment! My kids provided the (very high!) backing vocals.
