about

The demo of this had such poor sound quality I had to overdub both the acoustic guitar and the vocals. Another long-forgotten tune that I thought deserved rescuing from oblivion. Lyrically, it reminded me a bit of George Harrison's 'Window Window' and Paul Simon's 'Kathy's Song'.

lyrics

Follow

I sat at my window looked at the grey clouds all around
The rain falling softly hit the ground without a sound

There seemed no answer to my prayer
I was uncertain that you were there

I called your name
I heard your voice
It was so strange
I had no choice
I called your name
I heard your voice
I had no choice but to follow

I sat at my window looked at the grey clouds all around
Thoughts falling from me hit the ground without a sound

There seemed no answer to my prayer
I was uncertain that you were there

I called your name
I heard your voice
It was so strange
I had no choice
I called your name
I heard your voice
I had no choice but to follow
