Lost Ground

I was surrounded by the finest minds
I was doing the best that I could
But then it happened I ran out of line
I got stuck out in the back woods

There was nowhere to go

But one or two friends had a spark for life
Reigniting the engine that stalled

I really needed to chase it down

I very slowly started writing lines
And I learned from the very best
My parents told me I was wasting time
So I knew I was passing the test

There was someone to be
There was a future for me after all
A heavy, heavy weight was lifted off
And I ran like a child with a ball

I really needed to chase it down
Because I wanted to turn it round

That you can call on besides what you know
It doesn’t matter what you call that thing
Just believe it and go where it goes
