I wrote this soon after Karmatruffle's last gig at the Hertford Corn Exchange. There was an indie band on the bill with the most pretentious front man I had ever seen. He must have been sixteen if he was a day and he went home afterwards with his Mum and Dad. I thought to myself I'm so glad I don't have to do this shit anymore! Of course, now I'm out there all the time again, but young bands don't seem as annoying as they did in 2005. I think it feels better now as I'm old enough to be everyone's Dad and not really competing anymore.
